We are a personalized accounting practice in the heart of Karaka specializing in support and advice in the area of monthly and end of year accounting, taxation and GST advice.
Other services offered include cash-flow-forecasting, management support and estate planning.
We have clients throughout New Zealand, as well as some clients based overseas.
We are 10 minutes from the Southern Motorway (Papakura turnoff) in the heart of the new South Auckland Equine Centre commonly known as the “Kentucky of New Zealand”.
We are an approved practice with MYOB, XERO and SmartPAYROLL and have experience in support with their products, though at present we are not able to offer training on a big scale, we are happy to teach new and existing clients how to get the best from their software.

Mark Taylor – Director – Business Services
Mark Taylor qualified for …ACA & ACIS status whilst living in Australia and managing the Australian operation of LR Allen & Co Ltd. On his return to New Zealand he rejoined his old accounting firm of Kendon Mills Muldoon and Browne in 1969 and has been involved in public accounting ever since. In 1981 he had sold his first practice and for a number of years worked in the Carpet business holding various positions in the business in both sales and finance. Again the private clients kept on growing and in 1987 he again set up practice first in St Heliers, then in Hopetoun Street in Auckland City. The practice was relocated to Karaka in 1998 and rebranded as Karaka Accounting Services Limited in 2002.
Mark offers a wealth of experience in all areas of business through his long and varied career.

Joanne Archer – Client Liaison – Business Services
Joanne began work for the ANZ Bank in 1981 and progressed through all types of work from Ledgers, telling, term deposits, foreign exchange and lending clerk at Otahuhu, Papakura and Head Office. After 8 years with the ANZ Joanne left to raise her children, during this time she undertook paid and volunteer work for Play Centre and Parents Centre.
Joanne was elected to the Board of Trustees at Pukeoware School and was chairperson for 6 years.
Joanne joined Mark Taylor in February 2000 as an administrator for the practice, she is responsible for the smooth running of the office, prepares GST returns, Companies Office Returns and payrolls for our clients as well as all returns and correspondence with IRD.
Joanne has trained with MYOB and supports our clients using desktop accounting software and recently the exciting “in the clouds” Xero software. Continuing to keep up-to-date with new developments in this area brings great variety to her working day.
